OutreachND strives to build a comfortable and spirited community among gay, lesbian, bisexual and questioning students at Notre Dame. We also strive to provide a sense of belonging among members of the gay community.
Our task is to act as a resource in identifying the ongoing needs of gay and lesbian students, to continue the dialogue begun by the Ad Hoc Committee on Gay and Lesbian Student Needs, and to assist in the implementation of campus-wide educational programming on gay and lesbian issues.

Goshen College
Prism
After fighting for several years to get an official student group for GLBT students, Goshen College has finally recognized Prism as an official club. From their Mission statement: "Prism is intended to provide an environment in which lesbian, gay and bisexual students may discuss issues and questions relevant to them as people of faith. Within Goshen College's commitment to community building and supporting healthy means of addressing issues of diversity, we recognize the importance for lesbian, bisexual and gay students to have a safe space for conversation."
Goshen College Advocates
Our purpose is to create a safe environment and provide an official voice for people regardless of sexual orientation, to educate ourselves and others, to encourage respect for people beyond their sexual orientation.
The Advocates, an official Goshen College club, began in 1997 in response to the need for education and support regarding sexual orientation on campus. Within the past three years the Advocates have organized and carried out educational and social activities. These activities include an annual Week of Awareness with daily activities ranging from guest speakers and movies to campus-wide discussions and candle-light vigils. The Advocates have also hosted a four week Bible study open to students discussing sexual orientation within a Biblical framework and leading a Spirit of Inclusivity campaign.
